Grape Powdery Mildew Control in California Vineyards
This course is accredited for licensing categories: PCAs, Qualified Applicators, Private Applicators/County Permit Holders and Aerial Applicators.
In this course, we’ll explore the different classes of fungicide materials; treatment options for powdery mildew in all three types of grapes grown in California; resistance management; regional differences in disease development, plus general disease life cycle, symptoms, identification and monitoring. This will include a step-by-step approach to using the UC Davis or Gubler-Thomas Powdery Mildew Risk Assessment Index (RAI) to predict initial infections, assess degree of disease pressure throughout the season, and fine-tune spray programs so they are more timely and cost-effective.
